Bio: I have been a Saskatchewan Artist most of my life with a few short stays in B.C. and Alberta. I attended the U of S in the early seventies taking some art classes before moving to B. C. to start a family. Many of the next years were mostly consumed with child rearing and working. I still work but endeavor to continue my efforts to someday be a full time artist. Over the years I have been involved in many creative pursuits. I belong to Carfac and The Saskatchewan Craft Council. Art Past and Present: I work with acrylic, oil, watercolor, pencil and chalk pastel, doing landscapes, floral, people and abstract works with no end to the possibilities. I did the cartoon art work for the Marshall Lioness Cookbook . I took art lessons from watercolor expert Donna Goodman. Belonged to a Broadway art group and attended workshops when work permitted. Have attended the Saturday Morning figure art group for over 15 years and participated in all their shows and also their summer art retreat. I won the Race Relations Annual art contest in 2003. I am interested in other mediums as well and had a photo in the CWRA calendar in 2006. Showed with two different groups at the Chappel Gallery at North Battleford. Showed with two different groups at the Galleries at 8th & Centre several times. Shown work in the annual Mendel Art Gallery’s members show. I have had art showing at J & S Picture Frame Warehouse and Gallery. I have taken part in Garden Scape Art Show for several years. In 2007 myself and a group of other artists formed Art Quest having 3 to 4 shows annually. I have taken part in the Boys and Girls Club show for many years. Won first prize in the Ethnic art competition at the Saskatoon Ex. In 2009. Showed in a 2 person show at the Scyap Gallery in 2010,2012 with Chris Hodge. Won several first, second and third prize in the art competitions at the Saskatoon Ex,plus best of show in Multicultural. In May 2011 had a one person show in the Clay Studio,showed in several other art shows,won first place at the Ex.I have showed at the Woods Ale house and had a one person show on one of the floors of City Hospital in 2013. Just recently I had a show with my group at the Federation of Francophones.
