Sunny Art Prize 2019: Call for Artists

The Prize
The Sunny Art Prize is an international art competition hosted by Sunny Art Centre, London. This fine art award offers a global platform to emerging and established artists from which to showcase their talents to a wider audience. We aim to display the artistic and cultural diversity of the international art scenes of London, Beijing, Guangzhou and Macau. The Sunny Art Prize seeks to promote an exchange in creativity between Western and Eastern cultures; this award offers an exceptional opportunity for those looking to expand their creative horizons.

We are looking for a variety of submissions, ranging from two-dimensional works such as paintings, drawings and photographs, to three-dimensional sculptures and ceramics.

Awards
A total cash fund of £6,000 is awarded to the art prize winners.

First Prize
£3,000, a public solo exhibition at Sunny Art Centre in London, a one-month residency, and a show at our partners’ galleries.

Second Prize
£2,000, a group exhibition, a one-month residency and a show at our partners’ galleries.

Third Prize
£1,000, a group exhibition, a one-month residency and a show at our partners’ galleries.

30 Shortlisted Artists’ works will be exhibited during the summer at Sunny Art Centre, London. From these 30, 10 artists will be chosen to exhibit their artworks at our partners’ galleries.

Painting, Drawing, Illustration, Photography, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Sculpture, Ceramic, Video Art & Moving Image, Installation.

Entry Requirements
Entry forms and entry fees must be received by the Sunny Art Centre on 30th June 2019 (23:59 BST).

Important Dates
10th August 2018: Submission opens
30th June 2019: (23:59 BST): Submission closes
10th July 2019: Exhibition Selection via Online Submission: Announcement of the 30 shortlisted artists (shortlisted artists will exhibit at the Sunny Art Prize 2018 Exhibition at the Sunny Art Centre)
16th- 20th September 2019: Shortlisted artworks to be delivered to Sunny Art Centre in London for the judges to decide on the Art Prize winners.
1st October 2019: Art Prize winner to be announced at the Exhibition Opening Night at Sunny Art Centre.
1st - 31st October 2019: Sunny Art Prize Exhibition 2019 at the Sunny Art Centre (London, UK)
