SHERWOOD PARK, Alberta

Linda McEachern portrays the beauty of nature in oil paintings of flowers, landscapes, portraits and animals. Linda began studying oil painting at Pros Art School under the instruction of Gene Prokop in 2001. Now, still honing her skills, she paints in her home studio, teaches a small painting class, and paints with a group of painterly friends. She has completed and sold many commissioned pieces of people, pets, cityscapes and landscapes.

In past years, her works were shown at the Art Society of Strathcona County, Pro’s Art Gallery in Edmonton, Loft Gallery in Sherwood Park, Shurniak Gallery in Saskatchewan, Scott’s Parable Bookstore in Red Deer, Gem Gallery in Sherwood Park, and at private shows in her home.  McEachern was especially honoured to display a painting in the Canadian Institute of Portrait Artists National Show in Calgary in 2008. The Great Green Macaws painting was also juried into the National Acrylic and Oil Painters Spring online Show in 2016. It was awarded first place in a National show hosted by the Art Society of Strathcona County. Three of her paintings were purchased for the County of Strathcona art collection.

She recently became a juried member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and belongs to the Art Society of Strathcona County.
