Stone Lithography: rinsing the grit off the stone

The stone and levegator must be thoroughly rinsed after each application of grit. If there is any course grit (60) on the stone once you move to a higher number of grit (80), you will get scratches on the stone. This can have an adverse effect once you begin to drawing on the stone. If the scratches are deep and abundant, you will need to drop down to the lower number of grit (60) and start again.
