Emma Lake Plant Forms (2004)
This is another collaborative piece from the Emma 2004 Conference. I always wanted to try cyanotypes but never seemed to get around to purchasing the chemicals for the process. Elaine Sedgman (Canada) had all the necessary ingredients on hand. In just a few hours we produced a number of fabric swatches using the local plant forms as our 'imagry'. I came away with an understanding of how simple cyanotypes are and a strong desire to continue exploring this process.Photography by Grant Kernan, AK Photo
