Shield #25 (2004)
At the Emma 2004 conference I was approached by Andrew Potocnik (Australia) to hammer a series of Pinch Folds for this shield. I had never attempted a series of pinch folds, where one pinch fold flows into the next along one continuous strip of copper. This project gave me the opportunity and the challenge to see what could be accomplished. Creative collaboration exposes an artist to different ways of conceptualizing, it offers challenges to artists who have reached their 'comfort Zone', it allows an artist time to explore new and different media and encourages the development of new skills.
