Rake: detail (2005)
This is a detail of 'Rake', a piece I collaborated on at CollaboratioNZ 2005. The reddish colour of the Star Folds was achieved through the annealing process. Greg Wilbur, a metalsmith from Oregon, USA, introduced me to this technique. With his knowledge and guidance I was able to achieve some beautiful patina's through heat and quenching alone.
