Beneath the forest floor

This piece was inspired by a prompt which was based on our ancestors and travels on forest floors. While in Isle of Skye Scotland I met relatives and walked many paths of my ancestors, I was even lucky enough to see the remnants of my grandmothers childhood home. It brought me to thinking of the stories, footsteps, blood and tears shed along the way. It also was a walk of love for many generations to come.
