Painting, Abstract, Floral, Still Life
I create beautiful art that transforms spaces into places where inspiration and imagination thrive.
I create work in the complimentary styles of impressionism & abstraction. I love creating impressionist art, and I also love creating abstract art. Regardless of the style, my work involves bold colour, along with nuance of texture, and sheen.
Ever since escaping out the back gate, at the age of 2 in order to explore the neighbourhood on my own, (only to be brought home hours later by the police...) I have had an inquisitive spirit. I have always been attentive to the visual wonders around me, seeing the beauty and fascination that others may have missed. I have hitchhiked this continent from sea to sea. I have lived in North America, Africa & Asia. I'm a self-taught artist passionate about art's power to alter how we think, feel, and behave.
I am guided by the complimentary influences of my artistic explorations and a lifetime teaching physics & chemistry in high school. As such, my work toggles between wonder and rigour.
I fill my work with as much audacious, bold beauty as I can muster to provide a perpetually captivating and inspiring art experience.
I live in the cultural cradle of Canada [WPG] with my wife and two children. I paint inspiring art with acrylic on canvas or birch board panels. My professional art has been purchased by patrons for homes and offices in Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia.
I am an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Manitoba Society of Artists.
