Another great evening. Our group came down from Saskatoon for the opening. Many MP's and people from the Legislative Building toured the show during the week and a number of our members even made a few sales. Brett Butt of Corner Gas fame, did a book signing in the gallery while our show was up. In the Spring of 2007 we start a full Saskatchewan tour with OSAC until June of 2008.

Wanuskewin Heritage Park - Welcome
One Hundred Horizons Exhibition
Wanuskewin Heritage Park is pleased to welcome One hundred Horizons, an exhibit by the Saskatoon Printmaker's Association, to our fall gallery lineup. Wanuskewin is an ancient gathering site for seven tribal nations of the Northern Plains. The expression of culture through artistic form has been historically and still is today, a strong value amongst First Nations people. Printmaking is also an old art form. this exhibit offers a great environment where old traditions and values can be celebrated in new ways.
This exhibit also provides a wonderful opportunity for our First Nations to renew their one hundred year old welcome to their fellow contemporary residents of this great land. Together, we celebrate the greatness in who we will be tomorrow, the people of Saskatchewan.

Chapel Gallery - Curator's Message
Saskatchewan - One Hundred Horizons
Interpretaion of the landscape is a constant theme in art. In a Province such as ours, where the expanse of land and sky create an unmistakeable impression on us all, to isolate the horizon as the motif for this exhibition at this time is most fitting.
HORIZON, according to the Oxford Dictonary of Current English:
- line at which the earth and sky appear to meet, limit of mental perception, experience, interest, etc.
- on the horizon - just imminent or becoming apparent
Such romantic descriptions - yet perfect to stimulate the artists' imaginations.
The combination of an inviting phrase with a dynamic geography provides the appropriate creative environment for the artists of this exhibition. The diversity of the Province's landscapes, matched with thevariety of technique and material and the diverse backgrounds and interests of the artists themselves, provide the viewer with an insight into the inspiration of individual surroundings. What we as artists create, and how we as viewers interpret it, is always coloured in some way by our locale.
This exhibition truely captures the intent of the Chapel gallery's slogan that calls the visitor's attention to our unique placement: the best view in town!
