In part representational/part abstract images, food is portrayed with powerful energy, and sweeping vibrant colour.There are many levels here. The glorification of food, the tension between the colours, the significance of the line work, the surreal power of the images.....The lines and shapes that surround each fruit are very deliberate, and each stroke of paint is purposeful....here is all of nature, the land, the seasons, water, the sky, with food as the heart of it all.
