The artist has a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. Her work reflects the ups and downs of her medical condition. Her art is her therapy, and as a result she is able to manage her illness along with medication. In this way she is able to express the full gamut of emotions that come to her in waves. The artist will go into a meditative state while creating her work and will remain in this state until the piece is finished.

The look of my latest work is highly influenced by the combination of Pop Art and still life. The love of paint, combined with the Pop aspects of simple images, powerful colours and repetitive text, gives my work a fresh, bold, fun and dramatic feel. I'm drawn to images in series as a way to explore the interconnectedness of all the parts of a given process. Whether the consumption of a pear, the examination of the contained human form, or the Pop portrait of a car, the series work allows me to trace a path of exploration more thoroughly than a single painting.
