A links page has been added to the members menu. You can now add links to your other sites more easily, and you can trade links with other sites (reciprocal links).

The 30 day statistics listing has been enhanced. You can now do a WHOIS lookup on the visitors to your site by clicking on the IP address.

We've moved onto a new server. Please report any problems to the site administrator.

Automated image resizing can be ENABLED or DISABLED through the OPTIONS menu item.

A list of 'return visitors' has been added to the bottom of the 30 day visitor list. The list does not display visitors who return multiple times during the same day, just visitors who return on multiple days.

Automated image sizing has been added.

Changes have been made to our members area to support firewalls installed on client computers. Some firewalls ( such as Norton Internet Security ) were causing problems for members trying to navigate the members area. Please report any difficulties to the site administrator.

Full members who have e-mail accounts with ArtistsInCanada can now access their e-mail directly from the 'ACCESS YOUR E-MAIL' link at the bottom of the members menu.

A line of text 'PRIMARY DISCIPLINE' is now being displayed under each artist's name in our FEATURED ARTIST display. You can change this text to anything you like from the ENHANCED LISTING link on the members menu...just scroll down to the 'PRIMARY DISCIPLINE' box. The text is limited to 28 characters so it will fit into our menu without being split into multiple lines.

Most of the updates to the members area have been completed. Work is ongoing to complete several more features which will be installed by the end of this week.

• Members Area Menus
  • Menu on left side of the page contains items you can update, menu under the banner at the top of the contains items that can be only viewed.
• Link Statistics and Updates
  • Daily and 'Lifetime' counters are displayed for each link in the members area
  • Members can now update their links, including the url.
  • View indvidual visitors over the last 30 days, including IP address, country of origin (or language they use, if country is not available), and which link they visited (for members with multiple websites).

• Featured Artist
  • Thumbnails are created automatically, with a border, at the optimal size for our menu.
  • Thumbnails now have counters on them, so you can tell how many times your images are displayed. The counters are cleared when a thumbnail is updated. The program to display counter statistics will be installed later this week.
• Enhanced Listing
  • The image used in enhanced listings can now be changed separately from the featured artist.
  • The image must be in JPEG format, and will be sized automatically to fit the business card format.

• Update Page Templates
  • Background colours / images can be changed. The colour scheme is used throughout your webpages.
  • Text colours can be changed to match the backgrounds.
  • Menus can be displayed on the left, top or bottom of the page in any combination
• Gallery Create / Update
  • Create galleries of images, with titles and descriptions.
  • The number of images displayed horizontally can be changed.
  • If you don't put some of your images in a gallery, they will be displayed as the gallery displayed on your homepage -- perfect for displaying your newest works...just move them into galleries as they age or are replaced.
• Artwork Information and Info
  • No changes...yet. Updates to this section are ongoing.
• Home Page
  • Artists who have multiple sites listed with ArtistsInCanada will automatically have a 'links' page in their menu. Work is ongoing to expand this template to allow artists to include reciprocal / favorite links.
  • Artist's galleries are automatically added to the artist's homepage menu. Unnamed galleries are numbered ( ie. Gallery 1, Gallery 2 )
  • Work on new templates for other pages is ongoing.
