Drawing, Landscape, Painter, Printmaker
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Paul Constable is a Canadian artist from Saskatchewan. His work varies in subject from figurative to landscape, often with a theme in mind. Rich oil paintings convey a unique view of the land, whether Northern Saskatchewan or the prairie. The texture of the land is depicted as a flowing, moving body similar to the ocean.

A. Landscapes
Plein Air painting is an especially pleasureable manner in which to paint. You are outside absorbing the day in the big studio capturing a foreground that has inspired you enough to stop and spend a while there. Unfortunately the weather can also be your hour glass, reminding you to get done what you stopped there to do. Many times I have been lulled into the quagmire only to have to finish the sketch at a later date.
