Viewing a true, dark night sky, a sky with more stars that you can fathom is becoming most rare in our overly lit cities and towns. We have become afraid of night, of the dark. To experience the wild beauty of night, of the stars, and the natural light from the moon, is a transcendent experience that connects us to our home and place in the universe. Our early ancestors, who lived mainly in the open, out under the sky, interpreted and made sense of what they saw through myth. Science has replaced myth, however, there is still part of us that is deeply connected to night, the moon and stars - the romance, the mystery, and the sense of something much bigger than ourselves.
