The heart of Fredericton culture, Fredericton indigenous art is varied from the Haida of the west coast to the Inuit of the North. These indigenous artists work in traditional and contemporary art forms such as soapstone, woodcarving, mask making, weaving, leather and painting.
Bear’s artistic focus is giving a contemporary interpretation to traditional spiritual beliefs, in sculpted masks (pawakon) of selected wood, and in the production of Native American flutes.
